Nyenzo is operated by iDev Consulting, a sole proprietorship registered in Tanzania (BRELA No. 464629, TIN: 120-549-863). Our platform at nyenzo.com provides AI-powered educational tools for learners across Africa.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Nyenzo:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register as a parent or guardian.
• Learner profiles: First name, year level, and curriculum preference for each learner added to your account.
• Usage data: Exam attempts, scores, answers submitted, time spent on activities, and progress through learning resources.
• Payment information: Billing details are collected and processed by LemonSqueezy. We do not store payment card details.
• Device and technical data: Browser type, IP address, and general usage patterns to maintain and improve the platform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalise the Nyenzo learning experience
• Track learner progress and generate performance reports
• Process subscription payments and manage billing
• Send transactional emails (receipts, account notices)
• Improve our AI-generated content and platform features
• Respond to support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Children's Privacy

Nyenzo is designed for use by parents and guardians on behalf of learners. Learner profiles contain only a first name and academic information — no email address, phone number, or other personal contact details are collected from learners directly.

We take the privacy of children seriously. If you believe we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at central@nyenzo.com and we will delete it promptly.

5. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following trusted service providers:

• Clerk — authentication and identity management
• Neon / PostgreSQL — secure database hosting
• LemonSqueezy — payment processing
• Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI content generation and marking
• Cloudinary — image hosting
• Resend — transactional email delivery

All providers are contractually required to handle data securely and only for the purposes we specify.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and learner data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your learner's progress data

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls to protect your data. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
