What is taught, how far it goes, and where a child joins it.
A curriculum we wrote ourselves, running from Year 1 through Year 13. It is curated from global best practice: we studied established curricula around the world, kept the parts that work, and built one continuous sequence from them.
Seven from Year 1 through Year 9: Mathematics, English, Science, Money Studies, Technology Studies, World Studies and Creative Studies. From Year 10, Science becomes Biology, Chemistry and Physics, which takes the count to nine.
No. The curriculum is our own, calibrated against several established systems rather than pinned to any one of them. Because those systems informed the curation, learners who go on to sit Cambridge or IB examinations should find the ground familiar. We are not an examining body and do not enter candidates. Many families run Nyenzo alongside their national curriculum.
Yes. Your child starts at Week 1 whenever they join, and works through the calendar at their own pace. The cycle runs continuously across 52 weeks, so there is no term start to miss.
The shape of a school day, and how the marking behaves.
A full day of work is roughly two to three hours of focused time for younger learners, and three to four in the senior years. You set the pacing. Many families do the core subjects in the morning and the studies subjects later on.
Years 1 to 3 are designed as family years, meant to be done with an adult alongside. The material is kept short and structured for sitting together, because children that age are still learning to work through a lesson on their own. From Year 4 most children work more independently.
Yes, including open written answers rather than multiple choice alone. The marker reads the reasoning and awards marks point by point. If your child feels an answer was marked unfairly, they can ask for a remark and it is assessed again from scratch.
Most of it. The lessons, the questions and the marking are all produced by AI systems, and that is what makes a full Year 1 to Year 13 curriculum affordable at this price. We check content before it goes out and fix errors when we find them, but AI makes mistakes and our review does not catch everything — so some errors will reach your child. If you or your child spots one, there is a report button on every lesson and every exam question. Those reports come straight to us and are the main way things get fixed. One thing to be clear about: we are not an exam board. The marks here are for learning and tracking progress, not qualifications.
They can ask for a concept to be explained again at the point they are stuck. After an exam they get a breakdown of what earned marks and what did not, and the following week leans towards the areas that were weak.
Exams are watched for time spent away from the page, and you see a focus score for each one on your dashboard. Only first attempts count towards leaderboard placing, so a retake helps understanding without changing the score on record.
What you can see, and what you can set.
Up to four on one subscription. Each child gets their own profile, their own subject mix, their own progress and their own place on your dashboard.
Average score against target and against their class, your child’s own confidence rating against each week’s objectives, exams taken against exams scheduled, focus during exams, average time per exam, and class, regional and global placing. Below that sits subject by subject mastery, full exam history and the 52-week roadmap.
Yes, of five kinds: a weekly exam average, a high score on a particular exam, a percentile rank by the end of term, a typing speed, and weekly resource completion. You and your child are both told when one is met.
What we hold, what we do not, and who can see it.
Your child’s account sits behind yours: they do not sign up, you do. Their learning history is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not sell it and we do not use it to train outside AI models. We follow COPPA-style handling for children’s data, which means the parent creates the account, we collect little, there is no advertising, and the only outside address that sees anything is the Partner in Learning you choose. The Privacy Policy sets this out in full.
Their nickname, which need not be their real name, their year level, their curriculum, the work they have done, and their exam attempts and scores. We hold no contact details for your child, since email goes to you. We do not ask for a school, a phone number or an address. Country and region are optional, used for the city-based Co-op Network, and editable from settings.
No. There is no advertising in Nyenzo, and no third-party trackers in the part of the app your child uses. Payment is handled at the parent layer, and the analytics we use for product improvement are our own.
Yes. From your account settings you can delete a learner profile, which removes their attempts, progress and identifiers from the active database. For the whole account including yours, write to central@nyenzo.com and we process it within 30 days. Backups age out within 35 days.
You, our marking and integrity systems, and anyone you invite as a Partner in Learning. That is one email address of your choosing, often a grandparent, an aunt or a tutor. They receive a read-only digest of completions and results, and they cannot sign in, see your other children or reach your account. You can change or remove them from settings.
Trial, devices, larger families and cancelling.
Yes. Pick a plan and the first seven days cost nothing. Billing begins on day 8, and cancelling before then means you are not charged.
A modern browser on a laptop, desktop or tablet. A keyboard helps for the written exams in the senior years.
Plans cover up to four children, and the price per child falls as you add them. For five or more, write to central@nyenzo.com and we will work out an arrangement with you.
