The Curriculum

What curriculum do you teach?
An original K-13 curriculum we authored ourselves. We studied the world’s strongest curricula, took the strongest aspects of each, and built our own from Year 1 through Year 13. From Year 10, the curriculum deepens to prepare learners for Cambridge IGCSE, AS, A-Level, and IB Diploma exams.
How many subjects?
Seven subjects from Year 1 through Year 9: Mathematics, English, Science, Money Studies, Technology Studies, World Studies, Creative Studies. From Year 10, Science splits into Biology, Chemistry, and Physics — taking the count to ten.
Is the curriculum aligned to a specific national system?
From Year 10, we align with Cambridge IGCSE, AS, A-Level, and IB Diploma SL and HL. Below Year 10, the curriculum is original and globally calibrated, not pinned to any single national system. Families regularly use Nyenzo alongside national curricula in dozens of countries.
Can my child join mid-year?
Yes. Whatever week your child joins, the calendar picks them up where they are. The curriculum runs on a continuous 52-week cycle — there’s no catch-up panic.

How It Works

How much time per day should my child spend on Nyenzo?
A full plan runs about two to three hours of focused work for younger learners, three to four for senior-school learners. You decide pacing — many families work through Cores in the morning and Studies in the afternoon.
Are the exams really marked by AI?
Yes — including full open-ended written answers, not just multiple choice. Our AI marker reads reasoning and grades mark by mark. If a learner thinks a question was marked unfairly, they can request a remark, and the AI re-evaluates with a fresh pass.
What if my child gets stuck on something?
Miss Edna, our AI teacher, walks through any concept on demand. After exams, she explains exactly what worked, what didn’t, and how to improve, mark by mark. The next week’s lessons adapt to focus on weak areas.
How do you prevent cheating?
Our integrity monitor watches the exam window and produces a Focus Score that you see on the parent dashboard. Tab-switching, copy-paste, and unusual patterns all show up. The leaderboard counts first-attempt scores only, with a seven-day delay on practice exams — so the system rewards genuine performance.

For Parents

How many children can I add?
Up to four learners per subscription. Each child gets their own profile, their own subject mix, their own progress, and their own slot on your dashboard.
What does the parent dashboard show?
Average score (vs target and class), confidence (your child’s self-rating against weekly objectives), exams taken vs scheduled, focus score during exams, average time per exam, and class/regional/global ranking. Plus subject-by-subject mastery, exam history, and a 52-week roadmap.
Can I set goals for my child?
Yes. Five goal types are live: weekly exam average, high score on a specific exam, term-end percentile rank, typing speed, and weekly resource completion. Both you and your child get notified when goals are achieved.
